Governor Toni Mattle visits the Ischgl recycling center

Innovative digitalisation of the recycling center

We were pleased to welcome the Tyrolean state governor Anton Mattle and representatives of the Tyrol state government to the Wiegon control center in Ischgl. Bernhard Weiskopf from the Environmental workshop association presented the highlights and his vision of a fully digitalised, autonomous recycling center.

“The environmental workshop association of the Landeck district, with its 29 member communities, has been working on the further development of waste management in the Landeck district for several years and, above all, places great emphasis on digitalisation. With the help of central tax and controlling offices, the collection operations should be networked and operated in unison.

In the future, residents should be able to drive to all recycling centers in their district. Collection points are reduced, opening times are expanded and the climate footprint and waste separation are improved.

One thing is very clear: digitalisation and ecology are becoming more and more important and we have to push them forward - also in waste management!"
