The second of three webinars in collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of Waste Management and Urban Cleanliness took place on October 13th and dealt with the topic of "Recycling Center 4.0".
The participation of more than 160 people once again proved that the VKU has created a format that meets the requirements of our member companies.
Municipal companies are facing a number of challenges. This is because the issues of the future are changing services of general interest and therefore not only municipal tasks, but also the way in which municipal companies find, develop and provide solutions for local needs.
The future digital recycling center could integrate a variety of innovative technologies and functions to increase efficiency, user-friendliness and sustainability. This ranges from intelligent logistics systems for transfer and collection, digital recording and categorization of recyclables to robotics and autonomous vehicles, 3D animations and digital communication and payment technologies. The potential for the recycling center 4.0 is limitless.
The companies Remondis Digital Services GmbH and our sales partner for Germany sensis GmbH from the Förderverein presented their solutions for the digital or autonomous recycling center.
