Our vision is for every citizen to be able to dispose of their waste at any time and in any place. We want to achieve this through innovative digitalization.

Wiegon is a competence cluster in waste management with its headquarters in the model region of Landeck in Tyrol. It combines the expertise of the companies Büro Maisengasse GmbH (design & digitalization), ematric systems GmbH (Automatiation) and Sawa Tec GmbH (Waste Management). Our goal is to digitalize municipal recycling centres and increase the recycling rate and service for municipalities, employees and citizens. We designed the most modern recycling center in europe for the municipality of Ischgl in Tyrol and implemented it in autumn 2022. It is fully digitalized and allows citizens to drop off their recyclables autonomously 24/7. We have already digitalized numerous other recycling centres in Tyrol and Vorarlberg. Projects are being planned in Switzerland and Germany. Our digital recycling center was awarded the Tyrolean Innovation Prize and the IÖB Award as well as nominated for the State Prize for Innovation.

The path to the recycling center 4.0

The Wiegon system is like a Swiss army knife. It allows existing recycling centres to be gradually converted into fully digitalized control centers. With our competence cluster, we can provide our customers with comprehensive support from analysis and engineering planning to the implementation and maintenance of their projects.
